resident of Avgi village in Kastoria region was stunned when he saw a gorgeous little bear cub wandering the streets of the community all alone! The young cub broke away from his mother and came to the village looking…for snacks!

However, he was in real risk of getting hit by a car, as he did not know how to protect himself, being so small. The resident, after confirming that the mother bear was not nearby, rescued the cub and transported him by car to his home.

From there, he called the Environmental Education Center of Kastoria, which sent a veterinarian at the village. The friendly and playful cub’s health was in excellent condition. However, it will remain under the care of the center until his mother is found and it can be returned to her.
