The scene in eastern Ukraine remains warlike, where new shootings have accentuated this morning, while information mentions at least two dead and several wounded.

Pro-Russian activists ambushed the Ukrainian forces resulting in fierce firefights, thus, combat erupted in the outskirts of Slaviansk, according to Interior Minsiter Arsene Avakov.

A Reuters journalist reported that at least two armored personnel carriers of insurgents fled the area where the shootings have been taking place since this morning. Hostilities now seem to be getting closer to Slaviansk again, moreso than yesterday.

Russian news agency Russia Today reports that two people have been killed by the firefights.
