The Greek economy’s adjustment effort has shown significant results during the past few years, Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Tuesday.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis, addressing an event organized by the ministry on the National Action Plan for Open Governance 2014-2016, also acknowledged the need “to support innovation, as well as small and medium-sized companies in our country, because this is the only way to create new jobs.”
The Administrative Reform minister referred to efforts to implement an open governance strategy, including the “Open Public Data Hackathon” tender, where “participants had the opportunity to use open public data to develop applications and services of added value, which contribute to generating and transferring knowledge.”
Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his content over the tender’s participations and said that the “proposals of those who participated are proof that we must proceed quickly to modernizing the state’s operation and to enhancing participatory governance.”
