The main opponents of George Kaminis for the City of Athens enter the final stretch that leads to the polls on May 18, gathering their forces and “narrowing the gap” between them and the current mayor, which is limited to six points, according to a new GPO’s poll broadcasted by the Mega channel ‘s show “Anatropi”.
On the other hand, the Mayor of Thessaloniki Yiannis Boutaris and Regional Governor of Attica Yiannis Sgouros, according to the same survey, maintain a big lead both in the first and the second round, as they are very popular and their work is supported by the electorate of their areas.
In the first municipality of the country, incumbent mayor George Kaminis leads with 20.8%, a percentage reduced by 1.6% compared to the previous survey of the same company. The official candidate of New Democracy Aris Spiliotopoulos follows with 15%, increasing his rate by 1.5% and Gavriil Sakellaridis (SYRIZA) is closing in with 14.1%, also achieving a 1.6% increase.
