This coming Wednesday, the 14th of May, at the Ministry of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change, in the presence of Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos, the lease agreements between the Greek government and sponsoring companies will be signed. The organizations will be conducting the research and exploitation of hydrocarbon deposits in Katakolon, Patras and Ioannina.

It should be noted that according to the unanimous proposal of the Evaluating committee, the contractors suggested to the Minister of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change were:

-For the land area of Ioannina, ENERGEAN OIL AND GAS/PETRA PETROLEUM
-For the maritime area of Patras, GREEK PETROLEUM/EDISON/PETROCELTIC
-For Katakolon, ENERGEAN OIL AND GAS/TRAJAN OIL & GAS Ltd.
