Government spokesman Simos Kedikoglou filed a suit against unknown individuals for a fake Twitter account using his identity. The Financial Crime Unit is on the case.

Mr. Kedikoglou calls for the prosecution of the people who created the fake twitter account with his name.

The user of this account would tweet various inflammatory messages like “A vote this Sunday for the Left, means a vote for Nazism”. The phenomenon of false accounts is often found in social media.

It should be reminded that Stavros Theodorakis reacted strongly against user @cocobily, who, for a long time, was using the name “Stavros Theodorakis” and the famous journalist’s photo on Twitter.

In a communiqué issued by the General Secretariat of Information, Communicate and Media, it is made known that the @SimosKedikoglou account on twitter is fake.
