Y. Stournaras had a meeting with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, during which they spoke of the state of the economy, as well as the recent credit rating upgrade of Greece by Fitch Ratings.

“Fitch Ratings is one of the strictest agencies”, said the Finance Minister in his statements, and as he said “the phraseology it used in its announcement talks about admirable adaptation”.

“This means”, stated Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras, that “the sacrifices of the Greek people are working and are now being internationally recognized. We must preserve them and keep them safe like the most precious of belongings”.
