Tomorrow marks the beginning of a war against interests, stated Rena Dourou, making a speech in the early morning horus of Monday, at her election center near Propylaea, after her “Battle” with Yannis Sgouros in Attica.
“We will change our lives in Attica”, she said, and pointed to Alexis Tsipras who stood at her side: “We will change our lives throughout the country”.
“We have given a great fight and the majority of our fellow citizens understood. We gave a fight, supported by morals, against interests”, she said and added: “Us, with the people, from the people, we give the assurances that the District will not make erroneous distinctions such as first or second class Mayors, or first or second class citizens”.
“We seek to build a Greek with solidarity, dignity and humanity”, she said, reiterating that tomorrow dawns a great day.
Alexis Tsipras then took the stage and held another speech: “We assume a historic responsibility. We will turn this ship around”, he continued, stating that “all of Europe and Greece realized what happened today. Only a small portion in Maximou pretend they didn’t get the message of what has just happened in the country. But we will persevere”.
“We are not ignorant enough to believe that they will leave on their own. We will not let them leave on their own. We will take action and make them leave”, said Alexis Tsipras.
“Today, we won a great battle, and tomorrow, we will win the war”, he concluded.
