After six years of recession, Greece is recovering, this year, according to Prime Minister Antonis Samaras who spoke during the afternoon General Assembly of the Enterprises Federation (SEV).
The Prime Minister stressed that the fiscal climate indicator in Greece, reached 99.1 in May, from a 95.4 in April, which is the highest level since August 2008.
Mr. Samaras appeared optimistic that Greece will do better than expected.
“We will do better than foreigners expect, as we have done until now”, he said, adding that “now we are talking only on how we will move forward, and not whether we will be going bankrupt”.
The Prime Minister also launched another fierce attack against SYRIZA, stating that “some people are left in the past and are not learning from past mistakes”, while he added that the opposition failed to overturn the government and bring on early elections, but their claims support anarchy. “It’s exactly what we do not want”, he commented.
Mr. Samaras also stressed that the economy’s culture is also changing and entrepreneurship no longer has a negative stigma about it.
