Government spokesman Simos Kedikoglou on Friday harshly criticised main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras’ interview with Bloomberg news agency.

“When Tsipras realised that he could not cause a lack of governance in the country, he tried with his statements to Bloomberg to present abroad an image of lack of governance! His effort again falls down the drain,” Mr. Kedikoglou said.

“Apparently he is not aware that the major agreements are not reached between government partners. They are reached between governments, between states,” he added.

He also explained that if any opposition party contested the decisions of the legitimate government, no country could stand on its feet internationally. He added that this “kind of nonsense” is not heard anywhere else in the world – and certainly not in Europe.

“Fortunately they do not take him seriously. Because, if they did, the country would be in trouble,” he concluded.
