It was Thursday afternoon, and Prime Minister Antonis Samaras was briefed by Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis that an eight year-old child from Rio (near Patras, Greece), had a serious and urgent health problem. The Prime Minister made a catalytic decision for the health of the young student.
The child suffers from acute liver failure and must be submitted to a liver transplant as soon as possible. The destination, however, is Hannover, Germany. The Prime Minister gave a direct order to the PM’s aircraft crew to take off, land in Andravida of Helia (in the Peloponnese) where the student was transferred and transport him to Germany tomorrow morning.
