Far-right Golden Dawn (Chryssi Avgi) MPs Polyvios Zisimopoulos and Antonis Gregos on Friday were released on conditions after testifying before the examining magistrates assigned with the party’s court case.
The two members, who are facing charges for participating and leading a criminal organisation, were released on a 20,000 euro bailout and ban on leaving the country. Another condition that prohibits the participation in party’s events, except of parliament activities, was imposed on Gregos.
According to sources, Gregos denied the charge and claimed that there was no evidence against him. He reportedly argued that he cannot be prosecuted for his beliefs and refused to answer any questions.
