Watch Berlusconi taking care of the elderly in a nursing home (Video)

Silvio Berlusconi will certainly look back with nostalgia to the days of his infamous "bunga bunga" parties, as he takes care of the elderly in a nursing home...

Newsroom July 1 05:09

“How the mighty have fallen.” This phrase sums up perfectly the current situation of the former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi who is serving one year of community service at a nursing home for his conviction on tax fraud.

The first video footage of Silvio Berlusconi carrying out his community service has been published. The video shows the former Italian prime minister dressed in a white lab coat, joking with a group of elderly residents before he strolls over the vending machine to chat to two younger women.

Italian journalist Stefano Apuzzo, managed to enter the centre and film the shaky video on his smartphone.
According to the Italian media, the Italian politician seems very relaxed and happy while performing his new tasks!

On Monday, Berlusconi’s lawyers threatened to take legal action over the publication of the video, arguing it was an invasion of privacy.
However, La Repubblica site argues that that it had obscured all faces except for Berlusconi’s to protect privacy.
