‘Lucy’, Luc Besson’s latest film is scheduled to open the 67th International Film Festival of Locarno, which will run this year from 6-16 August.
The film marks the comeback of the talented director, who has offered the audience masterpieces such as the “Big Blue”, “Nikita”, “Leon”, “The Fifth Element” and “Joan of Arc “.
His latest film ‘Lucy’ is the tale of a female drug mule, played by Johansson, who gains superhuman powers, i.e. the ability to utilize 100% of her brain, after the drug she is carrying enters her body.
The revenge plot of the film recalls Luc Besson’s “Nikita”, where the heroine is also transformed into a female “warrior”.
