The terror tunnel, as the Israelis characterize it, may previously have served the Gaza strip residents, through which they carried food, relief items and medicine, but now the underground network reportedly is the perfect way for Hamas men to carry and conceal weapons.

The concrete “snakes” in many cases even reach Israel territory and are said to pass under houses, mosques and other public buildings in the Gaza strip.
