According to a survey conducted by newmoney.gr, buyers are more interested in buying holiday homes on Cyclades and Ionian islands compared to other places in Greece.

During this period an increased interest is recorded for Cyclades islands and apart from the most popular tourist destinations, it seems that foreigners buyers are interested also for less known destinations, such as Donusa, Schinoussa, Koufonisia, etc.

According to geoaxis company, the picture is not the same, though, for five representative islands and more specifically for Mykonos, Santorini and Paros which are famous tourist destinations, and Kythnos and Kea that are emerging tourist destinations with significant increase in tourist arrivals in recent years.

“In the five islands of our study there are locations / positions of specific benefits and properties of unique architecture for which the requested rates are ​​recorded at much higher levels than those in the study. For example, on Mykonos, in areas such as Psarou Beach, Panormos and the area above the beach Super Paradise and Santorini in areas such Imerovigli and Oia, which offer stunning views of the caldera, the recorded rates for holiday homes with pool, bbq, etc. are up to 10,000 euros per sqm.

Respectively, on Paros, in Ampela and Parikoia, the requested prices recorded reach 6,000 euros per sqm, whereas on specific areas of Kythnos, such as Kolona and Gaidouromandra, the recorded rates reach 2,000 to 3.000 euros per sqm.

Finally, in some area are up to 10,000 euros per sqm.s of Kea, such as Koundouros and Otzias, the requested rates recorded reach 4,000 euro per sqm.”
