From August 9th to 17th, Aegeanale art and culture platform presents the exhibition “Hydra Darling!” in Hydra.

The exhibition includes works from two visual artists, Nikos Rakkas and Nicky Bee, having humor, pop attitude and inspiration from Hydra island as a common ground.

Nikos Rakkas uses as models for his photographs Playmobil figures from his huge collection and present them as common people in the daily and natural routine. This time he was inspired by the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Hydra island and the emblematic films that have been shot there.

Νicky Bee creates multi-colored three-dimensional constructions and collages using fabrics sewed on painted aquarelle paper.She creates pop-art sceneries and sculptures out of recycled materials such as steel wire and newspapers.
