The Interior ministry will allocate 17,822,916 euros to municipalities across the country for operational and other general expenses, according to a decision signed by Minister Argyris Dinopoulos.

This amount corresponds to 1/12 of the total amount of the sixth out of eight equal annual installments due to be allocated for the above purposes, ie to cover operating expenses and investment projects of municipalities.

The ministry will also allocate 4,591,476 euros to Greek municipalities for school buildings’ lease payments.
