President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias sent a congratulatory telegram to the newly elected President of the Turkish Republic Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In the telegram, the Greek President expressed his hope that the relations between the two countries will be further strengthened under Erdogan’s leadership, on the basis of the principles of international Law and to the benefit of both peoples.
