Greece is taking part in the Transpoesie project that kicks off in Brussels on September 25. The competition celebrates European language and culture with poetry from 31 countries with texts displayed in their original language as well as French and Dutch translations. Greece is participating with a poem by Greek nobel laureate George Seferis titled “Imerologio Katastromatos I (Ship’s Log Book 1) written in 1940.
The Transpoesie project is in its fourth year and organized by the network of the European national institutes for culture, EUNIC, for the celebration of the European Day of Languages on September 26. The main goal of the project is to celebrate cultural diversity.
