During his speech at the national meeting of New Democracy (ND) Youth Organisation, held on Friday at the city of Kammena Vourla, Justice Minister Charalambos Athanassiou presented his proposals regarding constitutional amendments.

These proposals include the upgrading of the President of Republic’s role and his direct election from the people and specific ideas regarding the politicians’ tenures, the institution of a ‘mandatory’ four-year term for the elected government along with changes in the ministers responsibility law in order to face the same penal treatment as the citizens.
