The Spanish Minister of Economy Luis de Guinness will succeed Geroun Ntaiselmploum to the leadership of Eurogroup, as stated president of the European Council, Herman van Rompuy.

Rompuy announced that the Member States agreed that the Spanish minister is the best person to succeed Ntaiselmploum, when the mandate of his is completed in mid 2015.

During a press conference Herman van Rompuy said that “As regards to the future after the middle of 2015, I found that the German chancellor Merkel, believes that De Guinness is a candidate who would be qualified to take on these tasks and I heard that other European countries share the same view “.
