Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie didn’t have to look far to find the best wedding planners for their big day: their six children were perfect for the job.
The wedding ceremony took place on August 23 in the couple’s estate in the French village of Correns. Twenty guests attended the marriage at Chateau Miraval, including some of their closest friends and family members.
U.S. magazines “People” and “Hello!” have obtained exclusive photos of the ceremony and of the unique wedding gown of the famous actress, that was embroidered with dozens of designs from her children’s drawings.
According to The Telegraph, the outfit was created by Luigi Massi, the master tailor at Atelier Versace, who sewed the sketches from her six children’s drawings into the dress and veil. More specifically, the unique gown featured brightly-colored images of flowers, animals and stick men.
The glamorous couple told the People magazine that it was important to them that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family,” Brangelina said.
Each one of their children had a special role to play in the ceremony: The boys, Maddox, 13, and Pax, 10, walked Jolie down the aisle and the girls, Zahara, 9, and Vivienne, 6, acted as flower girls. Shiloh, 8, and Knox, 6, served as ring bearers.
