The most popular sporting event that is not held in one of the two big cities of Greece is organized by Communication Lab for the 4th consecutive year. Spetses Mini Marathon, which has been instituted as one of the great events in Greece, will take place on October 10-12, 2014 at the beautiful Spetses island!

Spetses mini Marathon 2014 will introduce 3 new races: the new 10K run, the non-competitive My First Spetses mini Marathon (500m run) for infants and pre-school kids (accompanied by their parents), as well as the full Kosta-Spetses (3.000m) swimming competition, are added to a total number of 8 events for this year.

Each course and event is chosen and planned in order to highlight the natural and architectural beauty, as well as the rich culture of Spetses.

The climate in Spetses is influenced by the Mediterranean climate, which predominates throughout Greece. More specifically, during October when the unique Spetses mini Marathon is held, the weather is ideal for athletic events, since the temperatures are warm and the conditions mild and rather dry.

Location

The main port of Dapia as well as the Old Harbor on Spetses Island, is a tourist and commercial centre where the heart of the island’s entertainment beats and features cobbled sidewalks, neoclassical buildings, wooden balconies and colourful fragrant gardens that will captivate you. Here you’ll also find plenty of lovely beaches – many of which are accessible only by sea – and wonderful, secluded little coves.
