Within a few hours another incident of human sea trafficking and throwing warning shots took place in the sea area of Presimos. Prior to that a similar incident had occur which led to three people ending up wounded.

According to preliminary information by the Ministry, a Coast boat detected a speedboat with a foreign trafficker, who had just left eleven illegal immigrants at a beach on the island.

A pursuit of the trafficking speedboat followed, which despite warnings failed to stop and instead made dangerous maneuvers, while repeatedly tried to hit the Coast boat.

Finally, the men of the Coast boat throw warning shots as well as targeting the speedboats engine, which resulted  for the sppedboat to stop and the arrest of the Turkish operator.
