A Public Issue poll on the estimated electoral influence of the political parties in Greece showed a strong lead for main opposition SYRIZA, which is now ahead of New Democracy by 11 percentage points.
More specifically, in relation to estimated electoral influence, SYRIZA increased its percentage to 36% (from 31% in July) and ND rose to 25% (from 24% in July).
The Potami party dropped to 9.5% (from 10.5%). It is followed by far-right Golden Dawn (7.5% from 8.5%), the Communist Party of Greece (6.5%), PASOK (5.5% from 7.5%), Independent Greeks (4% from 4.5%) and lastly Democratic Left (DIM.AR) with 1% (from 1.5%). Other parties received 5%, down from 6% in July.
Asked which party they considered most likely to win an election held now, 64% of respondents said SYRIZA and 24% said ND.
The results of the poll that was conducted nationwide in a period from September 15-23 were published in the newspaper “Efimerida ton Syntakton” on Saturday.
