Warning sirens will go off in tests throughout Greece on Wednesday, as part of the nationwide civil defence exercise “Parmenion”, according to Hellenic Police statement.

Specifically, at 11:00 am on Wednesday morning, the sirens will sound intermittently and at differing sound levels for 60 seconds until 11:05 am, when an uninterrupted siren will sound for another 60 seconds.

According to Hellenic Police, this is a test exercise and there is no reason to panic.
