According to SYRIZA’s explanatory report, “we propose the abolition of the 2010-2014 anti-labour, anti-democratic memorandum legislative amendments, which affected the institution of collective labour agreements and the trade union rights in violation of the Constitution and the international labour legislation,”.

“We propose the reestablishing of the minimum wage to pre-memorandum levels, that is to 751 euros regardless of age, from a gross monthly salary of 586 euros and 511 euros for those under 25 currently and its redefinition under a National General Collective Labour Agreement, which will be signed by the GSEE and the employers’ bodies.”

SYRIZA argues that if the law passes, “will be a great democratic breakthrough” adding that they will take a new legislative initiative to upgrade the institution of collective labour agreements and expand their scope of implementation during the next period.
