Russia has no documented cases of Ebola however it has created three vaccines that could cure and prevent further spread of the virus in West Africa and the rest of the world. Russian Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova told Rossiya 1 television that the vaccines are expected to be ready within the next six months. To create the vaccine, scientists had used an inactive strain of the virus. Russia is just one of several countries trying to find a licensed tratment for the highly contagious disease. Other countries battling to find a cure for the virus that has claimed 4,033 lives as of Friday are the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Japan.
