Ryanair airline has announced that it will increase its flights from Chania, Crete, to Thessaloniki and Athens.
The low cost carrier currently flies six times a week between Chania and Thessaloniki and 13 times a week between Chania and Athens.
From 26 October, the number of flights to Thessaloniki will increase to seven times a week and to Athens will increase to 18 times a week. Chania will maintain its connection with Pafos three times a week.
Also, Ryanair will operate a direct weekly flight from Chania to the central airport of Glasgow, Scotland, raising the number of international destinations to 29.
Ryanair’s marketing and sales manager for Greece, Chiara Ravara, spoke at a press conference in Crete recently and announced that by the end of this year, about 850,000 passengers will have reached Chania’s airport, while the total of passengers using the company’s network throughout Greece will reach four million.
