A lorry carrying sacks of flour crashed into twelve cars causing absolute chaos on the National Highway at the height of Metamorfosis heading to Athens at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. The driver of the truck lost control citing problems with his brakes that began at the Attiki Highway and reminding those present of the tragic 40-car pileup on the Egnatia Highway in Northern Greece on October 5.
Two trucks, a school bus and nine other passenger cars piled up as the lorry crashed into them.
There were no deaths but two people were injured. The area was covered in flour that had fallen from the truck. Traffic cane to a standstill as three of the four lanes have shut down.
The firebrigade, ambulance and police rushed to the area.
