Hitler is known for trying to enslave Europe through crimes against humanity and unprecedented cruelty, trying to make Nazi Germany the ruler above all. But there is the lesser known, artistic side to the dictator’s life.

Adolf Hitler liked to paint. Some say his failure as a painter in art school was one of the reasons he saw the world with such a hateful eye, combined with psychoses and trauma from World War I. His infamy, however, has given a peculiar value to his “artwork”.

The latest project to be auctioned depicts a building in Munich. It has been painted with watercolors and it is the fifth project of the dictator that a Nuremberg auctioning house is expected to sell. The previous painting was sold for 40,000 dollars and was bought by a Slovakian collector. Officials believe they will overtake that price after the auction to be held on November 22nd.

This artwork by the Third Reich’s leader is sold with a certificate of authenticity and belongs to two sisters who wish to remain anonymous. Information states that the painting belongs to a group of eight painting by the “artist” which were bought in 1916.

It should be noted that anything relating to Hitler’s National-Socialist party is illegal in Germany, but the sale of his artworks is not, since they bear no Nazi symbols.
