The extension of civil partnership to same-sex couples should be one of the major changes envisaged by the Justice Ministry concerning Family Law.

The ministry intends to radically change the laws, after 31 years, by adding the relevant provisions, and to also create an exclusive Family Court in all regions of the country.

However, according to the report of newspaper “Vima”, on Sunday, the ministry’s intention is not to establish marriage of same-sex couples.

The extension of civil partnership including same-sex couples has been forwarded to the legislative committee, as this issue has been brought before the European Court of Human Rights, embarrassing our country.
