Farmers Republic: Connecting consumers directly to local producers (photos)

A new chapter in Greek markets and startups begins on Saturday with Farmers Republic first store at Nea Erythraia

Farmers Republic was created by a group of young people with vision. The new type of market is based on the wholesale and retail Borough Market in London that sells a large variety of foods from all over the world. The Greek version of this market is planning its first shop of this type at Nea Erythrea.

Dimitris Koutsolioutsos is one of the most dynamic representatives on the start-up scene. He is already known for his initiative known as www.gineagrotis.gr that invites farmers to be members of a community that allows farmers to expand their retail and etail chains with low cost solutions.
