Fearless naturalist describes how it feels to be eaten alive by an anaconda

"She beat the s**t out of me," he said.

Newsroom December 8 09:48

Paul Rosolie, the daring naturalist who was swallowed by a huge anaconda as part of a two hour documentary for the Discovery Channel, titled “Eaten Alive” has described this unique experience in an interview.

After putting on a special suit and covering himself in wild boar’s blood, Rosolie pretended to be the 5.5-meter snake’s prey but to no avail. The huge female anaconda would not even go near him. Then he switched roles, pretending to be a predator and the anaconda defended herself by… swallowing him.

“She nailed me right in the face and the last thing I saw was her mouth wide open before everything went black,” Rosolie told Entertainment Weekly. “And then she wrapped me and I felt the suit cracking and my arms ripping out of their sockets. It was absolutely terrifying,” he added.

According to the plan, Rosolie was to be swallowed to his waist and then he would be pulled back out. However, the experience was more painful that he expected. “She beat the s**t out of me,” he said.
