Labour Minister Yiannis Vroutsis presented details of the new social security system “Atlas” that he describes as the “greatest achievement in the field of social insurance.”

According to the new digital insurance system, all citizens who are insured will be given a personal electronic insurance bio by December 29. In parallel to this they will have access to their personal data via the internet. Each insured person will have a unique personal code.

The new system also provides for the creation of an employers’ national registry so that insurance clearance can be offered electronically.
