Approximately 50% of the businesses registered with the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen (EEA) intend to benefit from the new repayment plans of the tax service.

However, the percentage of those who believe that they will be able to repay their debts fully is much lower, according to an EEA survey.

More specifically, 85% of the businesses have outstanding debts with the tax service, insurance funds or banks and 48% of those want to benefit from repayment plans, EEA says.

When the businesses that are interested to come under the plans were asked whether they expect to pay back the full amounts they owed, only 19% answered “yes”.
