In view of a potential victory of SYRIZA on the 25^th of January, the German newspaper speaks of “A major setback” and states to its article’s title that “Greece Once again on the brink of disaster”.

Furthermore, according to Handelsblatt: “Although SYRIZA promises to put an end to austerity and reforms, Alexis Tsipras hasn’t got the luxury of time since the state has only got money to last up until March”.

Many think that Tsipras will come to his senses once he comes into power. What remains doudful, according to the German newspaper, is whether his party will align with him or not.

It is worth mentioning, that yet another German newspaper Die Welt has a similar view in its article entitled: “ Grexit becomes a possibility” .
