An attack against the freedom of the press and against democracy, was the way that Mr. Giorgos Papandreou described today’s deadly attack against the French newspaper “Charlie Hebdo”.

Further in his statement, Mr. Papandreou noted that: “We need to nurture terrorism. Freedom of expression is a fundamental principle of our movement. Respect of pluralism is a core foundation of democracy. Our struggle against extremism is the best tribute to all those in the world who lose their life fighting for free media and open democratic societies”.
