European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici told the press on Tuesday that, according to his opinion, main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras has evolved in the last few years.
More specifically, he said that the European Commission is willing to cooperate with him under specific conditions, provided that a common language is found.
Moreover, commenting on his statements on December 29 which stressed the need for “broad support among the Greek voters and party leaders” for the necessary reform process, Mr. Moscovici said that they do not constitute an intervention in the Greek political debate.
“There is no encouragement to vote one way or another. Greeks will choose freely their leader,” he added.
