No sooner were some Greek schools closed due to the snow but they’ll be shut down again due to the Greek elections on January 25. Specifically, schools will be closed on Friday, January 23, and on Monday, January 26. The principals of schools designated as electoral centers throughout Greece will turn their keys over to authorities on Friday morning so that the classrooms can be prepared as polling booths. In a decision, signed by Deputy Education Minister Alexandros Dermentzopoulos, principals were also asked to give technical assistance for physically handicapped people so that ramps and lifting equipment can be made available to voters who require it.
