Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu attacked his Israeli counterpart on Thursday, comparing him with the Islamist militants who recently caused the death of 17 people in France.
More specifically, Mr. Davutoglu accused Binyamin Netanyahu of crimes against humanity, saying that he is not so different from the terrorists who attacked the offices of Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine in France.
His comments could further worsen the relationship between the two countries after the comments made by Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan regarding Netanyahu’s presence in the anti-terror solidarity march in Paris.
“How can you see this individual who carries out state terrorism by massacring 2,500 people in Gaza waving his hand,” Erdogan said.
It should be noted that Netanyahu replied on Wednesday that the Turkish President’s remarks are shameful and must be repudiated by the international community.
