The two men who were recently arrested by the Hellenic Police on the suspicion of collaborating with Christodoulos Xiros, the recaptured former member of 17N terrorist group, requested a new extension to testify on Friday. Examining magistrate Eftihios Nikopoulos granted their request.
The two alleged accomplices of Xiros are 53-year-old Christos Patoucheas, a Greek national who is also a former police officer, and 36-year-old Albanian Hari Koka, who was using the name “Theocharis”.
Both of them have been charged with participation in a criminal organization, illegal weapon possession, forgery and other criminal offences that include harboring a criminal.
After the completion of the two defendants’ testimonies on Saturday, the magistrate will decide, along with the prosecutor, the next steps to be taken by the criminal judicial system.
Meanwhile, new shocking information has emerged regarding the operations being planned by Christodoulos Xiros and his accomplices. 22-year-old Aggeliki, who is also wanted by the authorities as a suspected accomplice of the former 17N member, was recently seeking a way to purchase nitromethane. This highly flammable and hazardous substance would no doubt be used for the purposes of the new terrorist group Xiros wanted to form.
It should also be noted that the mother of the mysterious 22-year-old woman has testified to the authorities that her daughter was working on a “school paper” focusing on political prisoners as part of her studies.
