Alexis Tsipras spoke to European counterparts from roughly 10 minutes at Thursday’s EU summit.

According to reports, the leaders of Italy, Austria, Cyprus and Belgium favored the Greek positions.

On the other hand, according to same sources, the Spanish Prime Minister opposed the Greek government’s stance.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras:

-The agreement with Dijssenbloem means that consultations will continue in a positive mood

– Many scenarios regarding crisis and bankruptcy circulated about what will happen if Greece did not sign the extension – We did not sign, no disaster occurred

– The transition from the Memorandum is the main item on the Eurogroup agenda on Monday

-The Greek delegation made an important step – Negotiations continue

– beginning tomorrow experts committees will work towards assisting in negotiations

-Forget about the memorandum and the Troika in the form we knew them – They don’t exist

-Nobody wants a crisis – The public interest is above all

– There will be substantial talks in coming days

– Today we leave having made significant strides – Yet, we did not cover the distance
