Opposition lawmakers on Thursday demanded that the new SYRIZA government table a loan extension agreement in Parliament for debate and approval.
New Democracy, POTAMI, KKE and PASOK’s Parliamentary groups’ spokesmen insisted that SYRIZA table the agreement in the form or a drabt bill, in order to discuss, in detail, the terms, provisions and reforms cited in the list emailed to creditors by FinMin Yanis Varoufakis.
Conversely, the government appeared relunctant to do so, unless EU partners insisted on such a move.
Several European parliaments this week began debate prior to holding a vote on the Greek plan.
