The Greek National Tourist Organisation (GNTO) recently participated in the international tourism fair GITF in Guangzhou, one of the most influential B2B fairs that attracts wide attention among the tourism sector.
During the fair, GNTO secretary general Panos Livadas met with major Chinese tour operators in southern China, like the CTS and CGZL and discussed further cooperation prospects.
Moreover, the GNTO office in China organized a special event presenting the advantages of Greek destinations, which was attended by more than 20 local tour operators.
Following last year’s launch of a direct flight connection between Shanghai and Athens, two more services will follow in 2015, connecting the Greek capital with Shanghai and Beijing.
According to preliminary figures for 2015, tourist arrivals from China are expected to increase, compared with 2013 and 2014.
