FT: Syriza is leading Greeks out of euro zone

The article argues that with every day that passes without a solution to the Greek problem, the Grexit scenario looks ever more likely.

In an article published in the weekend edition of the Financial Times, the British daily harshly criticizes the Greek Government, accusing it of leading the Greek people out of the Eurozone.

Titled “Greece slides towards the euro trapdoor,” the article argues that with every day that passes without a solution to the Greek problem, the Grexit scenario looks ever more likely.

According to FT, the Greek authorities “are proving themselves to be unreliable negotiating partners,” and Greek FinMin Yanis Varoufakis, is “an excellent self-publicist but not a reliable interlocutor.”

Moreover, the British Daily notes that “the chorus of discontent” on Athens’ stance has now spread beyond German FinMin Wolfgang Schäuble and Eurogroup head Jeroen Dijsselbloem, to include officials who have been more sympathetic to the Greek government’s aims in the past.
