Believe it or not, excluding teetotallers, the world’s biggest drinkers are in the destitute sub-Saharan country of Chad and the ultra-rich United Arab Emirates, both predominately Muslim countries, consuming 33.9 and 32.8 liters of alcohol annually, according to the Lancet.
This puts Brits far behind with an average of just 13.8 liters per year. Greeks just make it into the 10-15 litre category, drinking 10.3 liters of alcohol.
