Princess Marie-Chantal of the Greek Republic, feeling nostalgic, shared a throwback wedding photo to the day she married the former Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece. The photo was taken 20 years ago in London on July 1, 1995, and she doesn’t appear to have aged a day. Titled, “My Wedding Picture”, the photo shows Marie-Chantal Miller in a Valentino wedding gown…
Blue-blooded guests flooded the wedding that was the largest gathering of royalty in London since Queen Elizabeth II married Prince Philip in 1947. Yes, there were more royals there than there were in Diana Spencer’s wedding.
The former Greek king Constantine and Anne-Marie, the groom’s parents, beamed. “Princess” Alexia, “Prince” Nikolaos, “Princess” Theodora and “Prince” Philippos, the groom’s siblings, were also present.
Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, who recently celebrated her 75th birthday, attended with her sister Princess Benedikte and son Crown Prince Frederik. Frederik, Felipe and Pavlos are all first cousins as Queen Margrethe and Queen Anne-Marie are sisters and King Constantine and Queen Sofia are brother and sister.
Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia were also in attendance at the nuptials, as were Grand Duchess Josephine-Charlotte and Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg, Crown Prince Kardam of Bulgaria and Queen Noor of Jordan.
