According to information publicized by the Malaysian Navy and Malaysian media, the oil tanker “Orkim Harmony” was taken over by pirates. The ship is being shadowed by a Malaysian Navy ship and has changed its course east, towards the Indonesian islands of Natuna archipelago.

A Malaysian Vice-Admiral stated that the pirates are armed with guns and axes and have asked for a ship to escape. Formal information states that all 22 crew members are safe and well.
